- Help and support in coping with social problems and emergencies

German, Russian, Romani, English and French

The advice center offers a service specifically developed to meet the needs of particularly discriminated-against minorities:

The work of experienced lawyers in legal advice is supported by professional interpreters and community advisors and linked with the other social and educational counselling services of HLS.

With the consent of the project participants, incidents of discrimination can be reported to the DOSTA project by Amaro Foro, which makes discrimination cases occurring among Roma refugees visible and helps mobilize response options against discrimination.

The documentation and evaluation of the consultation cases enables a systematic view of the decision-making practices of the BAMF and the courts and is intended to contribute to the discussion of decision-making practice with regard to cumulative discrimination as a reason for flight.

Through the close connection between asylum law counseling, social welfare law counseling, and an open and engaging weekly advice café, the importance of schooling and vocational qualifications is discussed beyond the counseling itself. Romano Sfato aims to contribute to effective long-term strategies that facilitate access to employment in Germany and in the country of origin. To this end, we cooperate with Roma organizations in Moldova.
